What prams/buggys did you buy?

Hi there

Just wondering what buggys you bought or are planning to buy ? I know Phil & Teds and Mountain Buggy seem popular but do you think they are worth the bigger price tag? I quite like the idea of the one for newborn to toddlers, particularly the one where baby can face toward you when you are out walking.

Be interested to hear what you all went for in the end.

With Issy we had a Jeep then we bought a strider when she was tiny as she could face us (and she screamed unless she could see us).

Now we have two .. we sold both of those (the Jeep rocked though) and we have a P&T Vibe and a MB Double Urban Elite.

The MB I use on a daily basis for walks and when I drop Issy off at DC as its easier to get the kids in and out while Elias is still tiny and is in his cocoon (that I just slide into the pram).

The P&T I use when im only dealing with one kid but I plan to use it when Elias is old enough for the P&T to be in toddler/toddler configuration (as sliding him in and out is kind of a pain).

We have a bugaboo and it's the best pram every - def worth it's price tag. Both babies have loved it and it looks cool too

I personally LOVE Mountain Buggys! I had one before I got pregnant with number 2, then when I fell pregnant with again, sold the MB and got a Phil and Teds, which I hated in the end so I sold it aswell and got a Steelcraft Strider with toddler seat, its a good pram!

I have also ended up getting the double Mountain Buggy, for the same reasons as lilfatty, I think it will be easier to get both kids in and out of, and plus my son is still quite little and likes to recline if he is tired and in a toddler seat you cant do that and plus, the rain cover doesnt go over both kids with the steelcraft and I didnt like that idea either.
So the Steelcraft will be used when me or my husband are out with just one of the kids and the mountain buggy double will be for when we have both of them

I have a p&t and love it. I still use it for ds who is 2 and it is still in perfect condition for no2. I have at least 3 friends who have had to sell their mb when n2 came as there is no toddler attachement.

We got the MB urban elite and it is well worth the money if you plan on either running or suing it on bumpy terrain - beaches etc. We run a lot and it just glides ahead of us so easily. If you're only using it for walking on the footpaths then i wouldn't spend the money if you don't have it.

I think what pram you get depends on how many kids you are planning on having with what age gap..

If you are just going to have one then lots of the cheaper prams are fine - we had a bertini marine ($200 new) and that was awesome

If you think you might have a toddler and then a baby then I think phil and teds are good, you just need to buy the doubles seat when you have #2

Then if you end up with 2 close in age then the double mountain buggy seems like a good idea

thanks ladies, a real mix of makes and models there. I think I will do a bit of buggy testing at the weekend and try out a few options!
