Hi there

Just wondering what buggys you bought or are planning to buy ? I know Phil & Teds and Mountain Buggy seem popular but do you think they are worth the bigger price tag? I quite like the idea of the one for newborn to toddlers, particularly the one where baby can face toward you when you are out walking.

Be interested to hear what you all went for in the end.

With Issy we had a Jeep then we bought a strider when she was tiny as she could face us (and she screamed unless she could see us).

Now we have two .. we sold both of those (the Jeep rocked though) and we have a P&T Vibe and a MB Double Urban Elite.

The MB I use on a daily basis for walks and when I drop Issy off at DC as its easier to get the kids in and out while Elias is still tiny and is in his cocoon (that I just slide into the pram).

The P&T I use when im only dealing with one kid but I plan to use it when Elias is old enough for the P&T to be in toddler/toddler configuration (as sliding him in and out is kind of a pain).

We have a baby jogger, love it! The best thing is that it is incredibly easy to fold - you can do it with one hand and it's pretty light as far as buggies go.

Anyone had any experience with the Steelcraft Enigma with Reverse handle? I saw it in Farmers and love it but have read bad reviews about it being too bulky, hard to push, hard to fold down etc. When I tried it in the shop I thought it was the easiest to use

I personally LOVE Mountain Buggys! I had one before I got pregnant with number 2, then when I fell pregnant with again, sold the MB and got a Phil and Teds, which I hated in the end so I sold it aswell and got a Steelcraft Strider with toddler seat, its a good pram!

I have also ended up getting the double Mountain Buggy, for the same reasons as lilfatty, I think it will be easier to get both kids in and out of, and plus my son is still quite little and likes to recline if he is tired and in a toddler seat you cant do that and plus, the rain cover doesnt go over both kids with the steelcraft and I didnt like that idea either.
So the Steelcraft will be used when me or my husband are out with just one of the kids and the mountain buggy double will be for when we have both of them

Ours is a Milano 3 wheeler. It has very good wheels which i wanted for walking outdoors, so i knew the would last

I really like it, it comes with clip in capsule for newborn.

Some things i didnt think of while purchasing a pram, which i wish id looked into while looking were:
- Toddler seat/toddler attachments.
- large storage under pram
- one of the bits on top of pram to check on baby
- check that it fits into your boot

I have a p&t and love it. I still use it for ds who is 2 and it is still in perfect condition for no2. I have at least 3 friends who have had to sell their mb when n2 came as there is no toddler attachement.

We got a Valco Trimode Special Edition. It was definitely worth the money we spent originally, because we knew we would have another child later on - so we got the toddler seat at the same time. Mine is for sale http://www.kidsgear.co.nz/Classifieds/valco-trimode-special-edition-with-toddler-seat/ - here too

We got the MB urban elite and it is well worth the money if you plan on either running or suing it on bumpy terrain - beaches etc. We run a lot and it just glides ahead of us so easily. If you're only using it for walking on the footpaths then i wouldn't spend the money if you don't have it.

I love my MB urban. I was wanting the bassinette attrachment so she woul d be facing me, but it has the see through thing above it so I can see her just fine. She loves it and sleeps in there more better than anywhere else!

I think what pram you get depends on how many kids you are planning on having with what age gap..

If you are just going to have one then lots of the cheaper prams are fine - we had a bertini marine ($200 new) and that was awesome

If you think you might have a toddler and then a baby then I think phil and teds are good, you just need to buy the doubles seat when you have #2

Then if you end up with 2 close in age then the double mountain buggy seems like a good idea

when i was pregnant with my first i got an urban mountain buggy and it was ok... but when i had my second child i found out they dont do a toddler seat, they dont consider it safe... so if you are planning on having more than one close in age it isnt the best bet. with my third i didnt use a pram at all in the beginning but used a sling/baby carrier instead.

Cheers

We got a Mountain Buggy Urban it was 40% off in a Farmers sale so didn't end up being too expensive. I haven't actually used it with a baby yet but feels really easy to manouvre and quite light. We are really into walks etc so needed one that would be ok for that. I was initially hoping to get one that had a toddler seat attachment but couldn't find any we like as much as MB so thought we would just cross that bridge when we come to it.

I brought a Milano. They have a really good deal where you get the baby capsule too. Milano Tech Rider Travel System it's called and it's $329.95 at Baby City.   It's a great deal and a great brand, so I think

Here's a link if you want to go have a look:

We have a milano 3 wheeler and a jolly jumper 4 wheel umbrella stroller. I hardly ever use the 3 wheeler any more just for walks which I never do cause I'm lazy.
We are getting a p P and T's sport for when the baby arrives. I hve thought about getting a side by side, but it wouldn't fit in our boot which would be useless. I'm not built big either so we need something that is light with adjustable handle.
