Don't worry I was the same when I had Andrew. They are great and they also help with reflux.

Yay for dummies, we had a celebration when we found one that Spencer would take, saved him sucking on my little finger!!!!! He's decided he isn't interested in it anymore though and prefers to suck on his thumb.

Tom can actually take it out of his mouth!! DH and I watched in amazement as he grabbed it and pulled it out! He is only 4 weeks old WTF!!!
I think we are going to be in trouble with this one. He already rolls from front to back (ok, I think it happens "accidently" but it happens often and I doubt it will take him long to work out that its a way out of tummy time!)

lol Daniel started rolling pretty early too from memory (haha i say this as if it was a long time ago, but my nappy brain isn't that good at memory).. he still likes tummy time though if you pop a mirror in front of him to keep him occupied

i hated dummies too and swore i would never use one..........but charli had to have one!!!
they definately serve their purpose with some babies, they just need them. i think she was about 3mths when she decided her thumb was better and the dummy went out the window. now she doesn't even suck her thumb

I was against having one as well, but found it a god send in the end & would'nt be without it, we started using one when Piper started teething as she likes to chew on it and would never take a teething ring. Now we mainly have it just for bedtime and maybe during the day if she tends to be a bit grizzly.

i found the dummy really helpful in helping toby lean to latch and suck in the early days. i couldnt believe how much easier it was for him to feed after the first time i had given him one. they certainly do have their uses.

i used a dummy, and had no problems getting rid of it either, they are a wonderful invention ,thankyou whoever thought the dummy up
