"Words can be very powerful. Why not use them to lift someone up today rather than knock them down?"
So here goes...
YOU ARE ALL AWESOME, STRONG, BEAUTIFUL! WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART IS GOLDEN. ANY ILL PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY AGAINST YOU, IS DUE TO THE VENOM IN THEIR HEART AND YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HEART, SO THAT WILL OUTSHINE THEM. REMEMBER, YOU ARE VALUED, EVEN IF YOU ARE NEVER TOLD. I VALUE YOU!

Just came across this thread! It's awesome to see (some) people making such an effort to get along and share things that may brighten someone else's day Was a bit sad to see people knock the idea on the first page but seems like it's caught on
I'm stoked to have a heatpump that's makin our house nice and cosy warm

I agree!! I don't need school holidays, why should the whole world stop...
I love my life!! 2 happy kids, a happy husband and I'm happy too. We are financially secure (as much as we can be), have a great property, families that love and support us - what more could we possibly want?

This is really nice. Good to read if you feel discouraged.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Because we've got to remember the positive things, when life can be so hard/busy/challenging at times.

Call me strange if you will...But I am thankful for my past PND and depression.
It made me grow up, reassess many aspects of my life. Made me really work out what makes me happy and what I needed to do to get happy again. And it got me to really work on myself for once and put my needs up there in importance. Where formally, a midst the severe PND, I would put anybody first, except myself. So even if it was short periods of time I would have, just for me, I made sure I took some time for me. As I got very lost in who I was after having baby #2 and I was just serving my children and my partner and forgetting about me. I had a bit of an identity crisis. I didn't know who 'I' was anymore.
So I went on anti-depressants for a while and got some great counselling. And I can't rave enough about how effective CBT(cognative behavioural therapy) is, as a counselling method. And now, I'm much, much happier. I feel confident even and I'm really sure of who 'I' am.
Man, I can tell you, I used to be quite bitter and always took things written or said out of context. And some things on here too. So sorry if I snapped at anyone during that period. Hopefully I didn't. But I used to be a big mess and got quite offended over trivial things.

Here's a challenge.
Go find someone who is having a hard time at the moment and find some way to encourage them and help them feel appreciated/important/cared for.
Because, sometimes in the busyness of our lives, we forget to pause and do for others.

Jazzy I need to know your power company!!
Love this thread :)
I'm greatful for having a partner that no longer stresses when things go wrong and just gets on with it. And when I stress he calms me down. And greatful that our wee boy is finally feeling better :)
