A positive thread. A feel good thread. A warm fuzzy thread.
Just here, to support one another and say nice things, share nice things. No moaning, just cheesy, happy, bubble thoughts

Some people need to take a chill pill, the OP took it well as intended.
These warm fuzzy threads all start off with good intentions but they usually turn to custard some where along the way.
Interesting that it's happened on the first page in this case.

Its an event where all your pampering can happen under one roof........I explained to someone today as "pamper hopping" so instead of spending an hour getting a massage and the equivelant $$, you can get a foot massage 10mins, a shoulder massage 10mins, a mini facial 10mins, a hand pamper etc.......Its kinda like a mini expo but a hands on one where you get to enjoy a service.....individual businesses from around the area perform the different pampering, meanwhile offering discounts for any future visits to their business. A great way for the ladies to have their cake and eat it on a budget and the smaller local businesses to showcase themselves to a direct target market....Its been a passion of mine for a while to do this for myself, IE: my hens night I got someone in doing massages, a nutrametics person in showing products and a lady doing adult toys and lingerie......so I thought why not bring this to the people and so far its been a hit!!!
This is my smaller event with 18 stalls of pampering or indulgence (jewellery and products) run as an evening event in a small local town where I live and another bigger one that has 45 stalls and is over a day......
I also have entertainment, this time is Zumba, Belly dancing and a fashion/masquerade show and a live medium show........
Does that explain it better?? I have a facebook page which has some pics of events. I only started last year so excuse the amateurishness of it all, im still very much learning

I'm sad I just found this thread and realised I completely missed out on going to a pamper evening! Oh well, I note there will be another in September...GREAT IDEA chickielou
I was trawling through looking for something to post nice things in. I post in the vent thread but thought I'd love to be able to write something like this...
Thank you for driving all the way to Hamilton and back so we can visit my family, for holding my hand after we left my parents and I needed to cry and you were still driving, and for loving me every single day, despite my crazy family.
And by the way, I can't understand why people on this site are so mean and rude to each other, like over in the cryptic thread. Didn't your mother tell you if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Or perhaps if you have something you do need to say, a PM might be better rather than everyone having to read comments that are insulting someone!

I am happy to see some more posts on here. Brings a big smile to my face
Also, I am happy to own thermals right now! Brr, it's cold in Wellington!
I am also happy, I have to lovely girls and 2 loyal, affectionate cats. I used to have another, but she decided she was too good for us and moved to the old neighbours, as they fed her the good stuff!
I am so, so happy, that my depression is starting to lift, that I have such great friends, family and supports, online and offline. That even if life gets hard, it will be ok and I now know I can get through it. As I used to be severely depressed and had a very, very bad case of PND and I thought, that misery, despair and anxiety was never going to leave. I saw no hope and no end to it. I lost the plot regularly and I could not cope. So it is amazing that I am coping and I am doing better. So didn't see it coming and so glad I'm getting better...14 months later.
Thankx especially for those of you on here who have been a great support and understanding. I love you all for that!

So proud of my almost 7yr old.......hes made his own lunch for school tomorrow and it contains....animal biscuits, crackers, muffin, apple and mandarin and 2 vegiemite sandwiches......all his choosing
I love how teaching him independence is starting to show.........esp considering his brother who is 15 and lives with his dad still gets his lunch made for him!!!!

I am grateful to still have a house, water, a toilet, and power. I am grateful my family is unhurt, and alive. I am happy to have finally found another good preschool for little miss, and i am grateful to heaven and back that she was ok at preschool during the earthquake.
I am grateful that i am still able to continue with my degree after everything that has happened, and i am grateful for the measly amounts of work tha DP is getting, because at least it is something.

Oh my goodness, shock horror, something positive, dare I say it!
Haha! Gotta laugh when I say something positive, see all the positive and someone comes along and just picks that to pieces and points out the worst case scenario and just won't get off the negative. Makes me feel awesome knowing at least I bring some positivity in. Or else it's just doom and gloom otherwise.
...ok, that's kind of a vent, but about being positive, so it's allowed to be in here. Cause I said so LOL!

Just to revive the feel-good thread.....
So happy that we are finally getting our insurance sorted and we are putting in an offer on a section. It's been the crappiest time ever since the Sept quake so this is a real milestone. YAY!!!!!!

Cool thread :)
I am greatful that I have been offered a job which will let me be with my precious wee girl most of the time, that we are finally in a position to start enjoying our lives financially, that we were blessed with the most perfect wee girl in the world, the huge smiles I get each morning when she wakes up, the noises which will soon turn into laughter, the recognition on her face when I walk into the room, the raspberries she has just learnt to blow, the immense love I have discovered inside of me for her..
Aww haha - warm fuzzies!!
Life is good xx

Nah sorry, mine is a practical car for a family, but not a chariot. Though I wouldn't mind a car with more seats, DP would so not buy a 6+ seater car! He wants an Altezza!
We have a Suzuki Cultus 1996 stationwagon. Actually it's quite good, just needs an oil change(but this weather is not helping!) and hand brake re-adjusted. We just did the spark plugs and it's like a new car!
I've driven a chariot though when I had a loan car, didn't find it too bad, quite practical.

Just wanted to share some nice quotes I read about parenting, that made me smile
"Being a parent isn't about not wanting anything, it's about passing up your wants for your child's. Nothing makes me happier than a hug & smile from my daughter"
"As a parent, I pray for silence, then when I get it, I am wondering why the kids are being so quiet. It is never a good sign!"
"A Child Is something you hold in your Belly for 9 Months, In your Arms for 3 Years But in your Heart for A Lifetime!"

DS's birthday present from my sister turned up yesterday and it's amazing. She bought him a Pintoy Walker because she's amazingly generous.
That's a pic. I set it up, put the blocks in and stood DS behind it. He immediately grabbed the handle and started walking across the room like he's been doing it all his life!!! His first time walking ever. So stoked. Need to get it on video so I can send it to my sis, he's so cute!
