A shorter morning sleep? I have a friend with a baby who has just turned one & her morning sleep is only 20 mins or so. She usually has 2 hours in the afternoon though.

And I guess continuously having no luck in getting them to sleep when you put them down.

I'm sure there are more.

Not sure, but my girl now constantly rolls over and crawls into one corner of the cot where she gets stuck and cries. So I put her back down and and sometimes I'm lucky and sometimes we repeat this game a few times. And she used to be a very good sleeper. 2-3 hrs in the morning, 1-1.5 hrs in afternoon.

First Spencer wouldn't have a morning sleep, would put him down but he would cry so would end up getting him up again and then he was ill and went back to having 2 sleeps for a while and then he started not wanting to go to bed at 7pm, then he dropped the afternoon one but was still crashing out by 10am and then slowly that 10am sleep has moved to 1pm. For a while we did early lunch and then in bed at 12 and then I slowly pushed it out till 1pm just to make my life a bit easier as early lunches can be a pain to fit around other activities.

We dropped Gabrielle's afternoon sleep when it began interfering with bedtime. She would want to stay up way tooo late and be full of beans. Some days she will still have it if it's been a really big day :) And she sleeps a tad longer and later in the mornings now.

Keziah has a morning sleep that can last anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours and sometimes she wont have an afternoon sleep at all so between 12pm and bedtime (between 6.30 and 7p) she's wide awake and full of beans!! Sometimes she'll have a nap when we get home from picking up our youngest boy from school at about 3.30 but that kind of interferes with the nighttime routine
