Hi

Bubs is waking up during the night and is really hard to resettle - normally taking 2-3 hours!! I've just had two nights in a row and even hubby who sleeps thru everything has also woken. We have one tooth thru and possibly another - but with the 1st one we only had one bad night. I have made sure we have a changed nappy, bongela (think my spelling isn't right there), paracare (which I hate using every night), and water/bottle - sometimes if she has had a bad drinking day. Normally she wakes up once a night and she is really easy to resettle. The only way has been to give in and put her is our bed and she goes off but if we move her back into the cot - she is wide awake again and won't take the dummy and I don't really want to put her is our bed.   Does anyone have any tips????? Thanks

Nurofen for kids . It lasts much longer than pamol (8 hours rather than 4) and can be used in conjunction with pamol as they are different.

Also could she be hungry? At 8 - 9 months the amount of solids should be on the increase so maybe offer a bit more food or add another meal if she is not on 3 plus snacks?

She is have formula bottles most days up to 800mls plus solids - sometimes she doesn't want solids! Will try the Nurofen - I hate giving it too her all the time!

Sounds like teething to me, Caden did the same thing when he was cutting his bottom teeth.

We use nurofen for kids with Caden now when he is teething and its great! as he has one dose of 5ml when he goes to bed(only when he is cutting a tooth or he is sick) and it lasts 8 hours and he will usually sleep through So you dont need to keep giving it to them like with pamol.

And as Jaycee said, Nurofen is also good as if needed you can stagger it with pamol, so like a dose of nurofen and then a little while later a dose of pamol, and you dont need to give them the nurofen again, as it lasts the 8 hours.
