Does anyone always get the big question "So when is baby number 2 coming"?? And I'm talking about when their first born is nearly 5 years old.

Yes we did constanly as we had one child - some people are soooo rude and nosey!!! Occassionally being spiteful and probably a bad day I would take delight in telling them we had had 1, 2, 3, 4 misscarriages!!! You should of seen them shut up and run for the hills!!!!
we have a 5 year gap between our two!!

Thanks for your reply Pickle. Sorry to hear about your miscarriages.
Your right though some people are way too nosey!
And for us we don't just have 1 child, I have a Step-son (my partners son) who I consider to be mine, he is 11 and has lived with us full time since he was 3.5 years old.
Yay for the 5 year age gap :-) How did you find it?

Thanks - the five year gap is great - I was worried about how my DS would accept the baby but he has been great - Any age gap to be honest is fab, I honestly think if you are lucky enough to have two plus kids the age gap doesnt matter - it is public perception that we should have a 2-3 year gap I think. I have a friend with 3 boys oldes 15, then 7, then 10 months (all same dad!!) and she loves it!!!!!!

Thanks Pickle, you have made my situation feel so much better :-) My Step-son is an awesome big brother to his little sister (5 in September) and I'm just so so happy and lucky to have them as my kids & we will have more babies when the time is right for me and my partner.
That is awesome about your friend.
It just shows that no matter what the age gap is between your kids, you love your kids just the same :-)

I am amazed people ask this of each other when they are not close or something, I have a friend going through IVF and people keep asking her when the 2nd is coming, which is a painful topic and very personal
That being said, having just had my second I am equally amazed at randoms who say so is that it now are you having more - people are just nosey

I have had similar questions and my babies are all just over 2yrs apart!
LovelyMummy I would just say to people "I already have 2 children" or "she is 5yrs old" and leave it at that.
As said people are so nosey and I find that they feel they can say anything to you about your children, whether they know you or not. It is like kids are a free-for-all on the comments/advice front

Lol. Willem was less than 12 hours old when the lady doing his hearing test asked if we were "going to try third time lucky for a girl". And have had various forms of that question ever since. So there you go - even when you have two, and have them close together - you still get asked similar sorts of questions!

Snap Delli- we have a Willem too!!!!!!
(in fact, I think I've commented on this before, haha!)
DS is nearly 11mo and I get asked quite often. But when people don't ask when we are having another one, they are usually busy commenting on my age (I'm quite young) or assuming I'm a solo mum (I'm not, happily married, but why would it matter if I was???)
People are so judgmental these days!!!
