Thanks. I am disappointed and pissed off

Am supposed to be going out tonight but I really don't feel like it, so think I will pull a sicky.

And DH is working late too. But he did come to the doctors appointment which I wasn't expecting, and it was such a support having him there. Also it meant I didn't have to then tell him everything again.

It's just made me a bit down really, it would have been fine if I only got my AF on time.

And now I'm worried about how stressed I am.

What a wonderful, supportive husband you have to have gone with you to the appointment. My fingers are crossed for you and that you will be pregnant soon

I don't want to give false hope, but some women do take longer to get a result - I'm one of them!

It doesn't matter how many tests I do, I do not get a BFP until at I'm at least 13 days late. With Josiah, I tested every second day for 2 weeks until I was 12 days late. Each one was negative. In frustration I did a test on day 13, positive! I had something similar with Xavier, although I had a better idea what was going on so I didn't test as often Scans confirmed with both boys that even though a HPT didn't come back as positive straight away, my dates were right.

Yes you're right, I am so very to have such a supportive husband and I told him this numerous times last night! It was such a nice surprise getting the text from him saying he was gonna meet me at the clinic.

Daikini, well that puts a bit of a new spin on things doesn't it. About half an hour ago, before I came on here and read your message, I was thinking how nauceous (sp?) I was feeling, and considering going home.

I figure it could either be stress/tiredness, or I'm coming down with some sort of a bug, or I'm one of those people who it doesn't show up til late. But does morning sickness start this early anyway? Cos if it doesn't, I know I can rule that out.

But the thing that gets me, is that if it was that way with you (BFP not showing up til later), surely there must be a small percentage of women for whom it's the same? And surely doctors would know that? Cos mine was very straight up and down, I'd done 6 tests and made it 7 with the one there, there was no way I could be pregnant with that number of BFN and AF being 12 days overdue.

Anyway.. thanks heaps everyone for your kind thoughts and words.

Stress is the number 1 contraception it can stop you ovulating and maybe thats what you could be looking at? That you may not have ovulated? I myself am staring down a 41 day cycle but thats normal for me. Just always wondered and the first thing came to mind is if you have actually ovulated.

Are your cycles normally long or are they pretty bang on? I cant remember how long you have been off the pill aswell that could be a factor...

Sorry to hear it wasnt the news that you wanted.

I'm not sure if I have ovulated - I came off the pill at the end of last November I think it was. Since then, my AF was bang on 28 days each time.

I asked the doctor about this, cos I was worried it might mean me having problems conceiving in the future, but he said that because I had my AF regularly 3 times that he thought it was fine.

So I'm really not sure..

Could be a long cycle and that you ovulated late. One way to check is tomorrow when you wake (this is kinda cheating and i dont recommend it) Take your temp as soon as you wake before you get outta bed and PM me with it and ill let you know what i think Make sure u use a BBT thermometer.

Yay, I know that's not what you were hoping for but at least you now have a definite answer. Waiting with BFNs is so hard!

It's definately disappointing Arohanui, but try not to dwell on it.

Even though it's frustrating a lot of the time, the whole 2WW can be fun in a strange kind of way... like waiting for Santa when you're a kid.

Try to enjoy the journey and stay positive, it's hard at times but you go crazy if you don't see the ironic side. Sometimes I just feel mother nature is playing games with us all.

Good luck for this month. xx
