I've just finished reading Nigel Latta's book 'Before your kids drive you crazy, read this!' and although we haven't had any eating issues with Andrew so far the chapters on the book about eating problems were SO funny.
We don't have any food hangups at present - if Andrew's hungry, he'll eat, if he isn't, he won't and it takes about 20 tries of something new for him to work out whether he likes it or not. I was worried about iron for a little while, but sneak it in the form of meat juice three times a week into something he likes.
After having friends who got into the cycle of making three different meals for the kiddies each night depending on their tastes I went very old school and have a rule that if what is put infront of you isn't to your liking, you get to hold out until the next meal.
I also don't make a big deal if meals aren't finished - I'm trying to keep Andrew in touch with when his tummy is n't hungry anymore rather than when his plate is empty.
Aside from all of this, I now seem to have a hankering for crumpets and need to ring the hubby to get him to pick some up on the way home - crumpets with golden syrup and butter - YUM!!!

We just feed jake leftovers of whatever we had the night before. he loves most food on most days, although seems to have a consistent dislike of apricots. He loves bananas again at the moment, but for squishing in his hands rather than eating.
