If the midwife you choose is any good?
is there a register with a list that shows if they have had any bad outcomes? or is word of mouth the only way?

The Midwifery Council have a search facility to see if your midwife has a practising certificate and they also have a list of those midwives who are suspended from practice. But I'm guessing that the only way to know about any smaller incidents would be via word of mouth.

thanks amber...wouldnt you know it the only two midwifes i have spoken to today wont come up on their search and i cant email the council cause i cant email anything...
