If the midwife you choose is any good?
is there a register with a list that shows if they have had any bad outcomes? or is word of mouth the only way? |

The http://www.midwiferycouncil.org.nz/index.cfm - Midwifery Council have a search facility to see if your midwife has a practising certificate and they also have a list of those midwives who are suspended from practice. But I'm guessing that the only way to know about any smaller incidents would be via word of mouth.

| thanks amber...wouldnt you know it the only two midwifes i have spoken to today wont come up on their search and i cant email the council cause i cant email anything... |
