Hi everyone... some of you know my history but for those who don't...

here's a bit of a run down on DH and I... have been TTC for 18mths now, have had all BT done, DH's sample's good, have had 2 ultrasounds and a HSG xray... all not showing anything of major significance. apparently my cervical canal is 'thickened' slightly but they don't know why. am with a FS (obviously) paying privately ATM... and am on my 2nd cycle of clomid. so from all this i haven't been able to get pregnant at all.

as many of you know who have been TTC you would try anything to get that little bubba. so i had an appointment with an alternative healer who suggested that about 13 years ago i had an infection in my right ovary. I can remember being hospitalised for a 'supposed' kidney infection, but my healer thinks they got it wrong. he has 'cleansed' me and i have to have aloe vera and cranberry juice for the next month.

so BIG question...

have you ever had an infection in your ovaries? what was the treatment?

of course i've googled and have found they call it Pelvic Inflammatory Disease but you know google...

If you still had the infection it should show up in blood tests? you would have had a full blood count at some stage wouldn't you? WBC would be raised I assume. However, I would think antibotics would be used to treat it....
I thought I had some kinda PID (not from an STD you can also get it from lots of BDing ) and we never got tests or anything but I got the Dr to treat me for it to rule it out as I was having discomfort in one ovary (ends up it was PCOS) and the treatment was a massive amount of antibotics - 3 different kinds at once... was horrible and I ended up with oral thrush

mum to 3 lovely girls :D

Not a doctor but I would have thought any antibiotics they would have put you on for a supposed kidney infection would have dealt to the ovary infection, I guess you're wondering about long term damage to that ovary?

I would speak to your FS about it, I'm sure they have a lot of patients try all sorts of things to get pregnant and won't mind that you saw a healer or think you were odd for doing it. A possible historical ovary problem is very relevant.

Fingers crossed you get your happy result soon!
