My poor lil man is constipated. He is 5 weeks old and breast and formula fed, any ideas on wat i can give him to help him?? he doesnt seem too bothered by it but surely its not nice.

We used about 1/2 a teaspoon of brown sugar in Ollie's formula - just once - and it always did the trick.

I talked to my GP and he said that giving a tiny bit of brown sugar every so often is exactly the same as the lactulose they would prescribe.

I gave Lauren boiled prune juice and it ALWAYS worked. Just boil one or two prunes for a few minutes and let the juice cool off then water it down alot with cooled boiled water.

Thanks, am trying the brown sugar, he has had two lots so far, next will be the prune juice if it hasnt worked.
