I have a feeling we will be combining with the October mums! *sigh* I'll just squeak into September and I'm still hoping Frantic and Emeldee will join me!

Im a September Mum and just starting to get the hang of things and the big change. Still not used to getting up in the night for feeds. Took me a while but im bonding with my lil man now. He is wonderful and love him to bits.

That's great Kell. I was worried with #2 that I wouldn't bond to her as much as I had with #1 and yet somehow my heart grew bigger ...and I'm amazed that I even worried about it now, she's the cutest!
Those nights can be tough. Keep resting during the day, it does get easier from here.

Glad to hear things are going well Kell. And that you will have some company in the Sept Mum's thread now that babies Paws and Emeldee have finally put in an appearance (and hopefully Frantic as well...)

Yup I got out same day as you Frantic...it was so good to be back home!
Maddie is still a bit mixed up with night and day but she seems to be settling more with the formula feeds which is good.
I'm fairly pretty achy and tender still and seem to have more neck and back pain that when I was pregnant!!! I've constantly had a wheat sack attached to my back and now have one on my neck. That combined with the cabbage leaves down my bra to help with the achy boobs....I must look quite a sight! *lol*
You are so game going out to the shops!! I've got up and showered and that's as good as it gets! I'm taking it pretty easy and sleeping when I can (B did the night feeds last night and is still doing most of the nappy changes etc) or I'm on the sofa...making sure I get up and walk around though and doing a few light things around the place like making up bottles, steralizing, day feeds, catching up on OhBaby (oh hang on that's not housework related!)

I've turned into the sleepless zombie that shouldn't be approached at home. The midwife has suggested that I ditch the maternity bras for a week until my supply is established so I have the stylie HUGE boobs under singlet with breast pads stuck on look, combined with trackies and a cardigan. It's that Pamela Anderson huge boobs look combined with housefrump trackies and slippers and post pregnancy floppy, flabby bits. And my ankles and feet still haven't reappeared from under the swelling. Hubby called them the Hinden-feet and Ankle-burgs yesterday. He's just lucky I was trapped under the baby and couldn't slap him!
MrsF - it's awesome that you are home and doing so well. I agree with the instant baby infatuation and love - I stare at Connor and tell him how amazing he is all the time (while telling the terrortot and the pre-teen to stop doing whatever destructive thing it is that they are doing in the background thereby proving that the infatuation fades over time).

Sodding midwife tricked me yesterday...told me I had to go have a blood test as the hospital didn't do one before I left. I was FORCED to get out of my pj's and leave the house. *sulk*
OK it wasn't too bad...we got out of the house...got to our destination...assembled the pram...remembered the baby...and even toddled around milford and visted a few people, so all in all pretty successful. So much so we went to Glenfield today and had lunch and picked up a few bits and pieces!
Maddie slept really well last night and was able to be settled! First decent night's sleep for mum and dad...here's hoping we can repeat that new trick!
The bottle feeding is going well and Maddie appears to be thriving...we have had some reflux issues but we've found by FORCING the little piglet to take breaks and therefore breath, not to mention burping her well, she does a lot better.
My nipples have finally healed up so much so I gave breastfeeding one more shot but sadly looks like the goods and well on thier way to drying up. At least this last experience was positive. I don't believe I have the energy to try to re-establish the breastfeeding now and we thought it best to stick to our decision to bottle feed. It's wierd though, I feel like I'm grieving over failing to breastfeed.
And sorry Maree...but my feet have finally reappeared under the swelling...hello feet!!
