Hi Everyone,

Just wondering how early everyone's braxton hicks started (if any)? I think it has started for me but feel that they are too early to start. I have yet to have my first appointment with my midwife so am just curious.

This is my second child, braxton hicks didn't start with my first one until I was about 20 weeks.

Any comments would be much appreciated.

I have been wondering the same thing - my BH started a lot earlier this time, well before 20 weeks (last time I really didn't notice) but I have started having several a day now and sometimes they are uncomfy as - enough to make me catch my breath.

I was assuming it was because it was my second baby. Be interested to hear what others say.

I noticed BH much earlier second time around, from memory it was around 12 weeks.

I had loads and loads from very early with my first child.

This time around I had essentially none until 36 weeks and now I'm getting them every 5 mins!

It totally varies.

I think I was about 18-20 weeks this time around when I started to feel them. In fact the sonographer told me a t my 19 week scan I was having them - funnily enough I knew that before she told me

Mine started at 20 weeks. I didnt know it was BH until I read my book that explained it. I though it was bubs bum or back moving lol

i didn't even notice any BH when I was pregnant with Lily - and dont think I've felt any with this one either yet! (wondering if I ever will!?)
