From past threads that I've read I think heaps of the Oh Baby members have had negative tests early on the turned out to by a BFP a few weeks later, so there is hope!

I don't get a BFP until my AF is at least 13 days late...
With Josiah I tested Wednesday (12 days late) and got a negative, then I tested again Thursday (13 days late) and got a postive, making me 5 weeks 6 days pregnant (confirmed by the Dr that afternoon!)
With this baby I tested 14 days late and got a negative... I thought my body was playing silly buggers so didn't test again for a month but when I did (6 weeks late by that stage) I got a positive. A scan at what I thought was 20 weeks showed I was a cycle out in my dates, and my first HPT was probably done around the time the baby was acutally conceived.

i ended up being 7 weeks along before we picked it up, even with hpt. it can happen, so whatever you do, act as if you were until you find out for sure that you arent, and dont drink!

not to burst the bubble but I was about 2 weeks late and not pregnant. Tests were negative and AF just showed up one day.
Hope that isn't the case for you

I don't know about the others, but I knew I was pregnant before I took the test. I could feel it in myself that I was, my friend also was the same.

Hi Ladies,
This is so wonderful to have people to chat about this with
Im not trying to clutch to straws with this but i wanted to know if there is a possibility as i was going to take Folliculinum and it would harm a bubs so i need to be possitive
Im going to buy another test tommorow and il probably have to keep doing them until i can get an appointment with my GP
Its a pain not getting AF as that would be such a helpful sign!!

It ok, I realised about 1 week after AF should have arrived that something wasn't right (we can't remember dates of AF so I guess when she comes) I then got very sick and finally I went a got a test. I got a pack from the chemist that was $17 and had 3 tests in it (a special and that was only last week). It was at a Radius chemist so try there and you may get the deal I got.

The one I got was, you pee in the cup, use the dipper to get some pee and then squirt it onto the little circle thing. I think they are the ones most used by dr's.

Hi girls,
When you say that it didnt show possitive till 6weeks, 7weeks, 8weeks etc - does that mean 6/7/8weeks past ovulation (conception) or past your period???

We mean 6/7/8 weeks pregnant, dated from our last actual period... so our expected period was 2/3/4 weeks late.

I believe (although those who know more feel free to correct me! ) that those of us who menstrate should expect AF to arrive 14 days past ovulation (DPO)...
therefore, if (big if) you were due to get AF it should have arrived at 14 DPO so 28 DPO is definitely late! However, there could be other reasons things seem to have gone haywire... maybe a visit to the GP is in order for a bloodtest to find out one way or the other?
Personally, I don't get a postive result until at least 27 DPO, but I also have been known to completely skip AF (due to stress or ill-health) altogether.

Hi Becca,
I had tests a few months ago that showed that my absense of period was due to being on Depo for a year but that i still ovulate??
I was reading over my fertility journal last night and i noticed a pattern - according to my notes on feeling sick, high temp, etc - i have a 28 day cycle! (without the period) so i dont know what relevance that has to my situation but it was still exciting!

I say go to the docs and get a blood test as this will give you an answer one way or the other. I know someone that around 5 or 6 preg tests at the docs - all negative. They couldnt figure out what was wrong with her so did a blood test and found out she was preggers. At this stage she was about 14 weeks.
Anyway good luck and hope you get the news you want
