I had that when preg with Paige plus cramps and the Apecialist said it was generally a deficiency in the body or the lack of circulation.

This time I got onto it and started taking Magnesium plus Vit C and Mineral Supp the day I found out I was pregnant. Not had any yet.

Plus walking and gentle exercise and stretching all help too.

Yeah I have had restless legs in the past- apparently a sign of iron deficency,..and I have had low iron when I have had them before, but now my iron levels are ok. I am taking Elevit, but nothing else.

I think taking magnesium tablets is supposed to help, I've heard that most of the time it's due to a build up of good old lactic acid, and that it's a pretty common thing during pregnancy - I've certainly had it every now and then, and occasionally having a small cushion between my knees helps, although it usually ends up on the floor by morning ! I agree with Kelly that stretching the muscles out a bit before bed would probably help a lot too, but half the time I'm so tired when I finally crawl under the covers that I forget

Thought I'd pop in and add my two cents worth. My EDD from the scan is 2 Nov, but being twins the OB has said they will be out by 21 Oct at the latest so I am HOPING to be an Oct Mum (as in hoping they don't come any earlier than that!).

Have my 4d scan tomorrow, and an appointment with the physio at Nat Womens as I have had back probs in the past and being pregnant isn't helping much!

Kellz - I have the restless legs too, not just in bed but when i am sitting watching T and stuff too. Wish I had some advice for you! I get cramps at night mostly when my legs are cold, I remember having them when I was preg with Maya too. I find wearing socks tobe helps.

Oh, and I am taking Elevit too. The lady in the chemist said it is no better than any of the cheaper ones, but the OB has given me strict instructions and I am too scared to argue!

Yeah I was wondering how long to keep taking Elevit. I know the box says pre/during/post pregnancy, but is that just a marketing thing to keep u buying it?! Im on my last box ( bulk bought a few boxes on sale) and at more that $1 a day, its pretty expensive!

What we used to do at ballet for lactic acid build up (think it's from yoga?!?) was lie up with bum against the wall and legs vertical. Might be a bit hard with a belly, but if you can manage it and stay there for 10 minutes, that helps the acid drain back down (apparently).

Hi there Kellz,
I am also due in October (26th). We found out last week at our scan that we are having a boy - hubby is pretty chuffed. I am also taking Elevit and plan to take throughout pregnancy and also after baby is born.

Hi Kellz,

Well I'm 29 and hubby is 26, and our first baby is due around 2nd/3rd October (so by half-way through September I may be hoping for a September baby... if we've got the house ready for bubs by then, that is!).  I'm 24 weeks pregnant, and the 20-week scan said ours is a wee girl too.  Good idea to start up a month-by month due date thingie - for some reason I like hearing from people due around the same time as me.

Andie

Roksana- I agree that Oct is a great month! There are lots of my family with Oct brithdays,...and if Im 16 days late ( arghh!!) I could have the baby on my Nana's 92 brithday!

My best friend is in labour right now! yay- so exciting. She doesnt know what shes having, already has an almsost 2 year old daughter.

Since we are all around 2-3 weeks apart when did everyone start feeling the first movements? I started feeling movements from around 16-17 weeks and now get regular little thud type kicks every so often
