Recommendation for sunblock

Now that summer is finally here, do you have any recommendation for sunblocks for babies? My boy is fair with red hair so really need to cover up. Am just concerned that if I slather all over he will rub his hands in it and then in eyes or mouth. Is there anything on the market that is baby friendly?

Good question. I've also been looking into sun screen and have decided to go with Mustela SPF 50+. I've heard that its really good, but I'm struggling to find it

i have hear lots of things both ways on this one..at the mo(my boy red hair as well) I try to just have him covered..with a hat and sunshade(on pram) when we go out.. but from what I've seen so far lower spf that is applied more often for his type of skin is important(though he also has sensitive skin) so I'm still researching which one to get..we do have one for sensitive skin from the baby factory atm but haven't used it on him yet as he simply doesn't go out in the sun atm...(without being in the shade)

I'd been wondering about this too because like HUNTD it will be summer when baby arrives...so should you not use sunblock on newborns? I read that they can get sunburnt in a minute and while I wont be sunbathing with her I'm still worried about being out and about with her

My bubba was born in Nov last year and I kept her out of the sun rather than use sunblock - it was easy, but you definitely need a sunshade for the buggy.

This year I have got her the skin sense toddler milk (the small roll on is only $12). I was keen to get something natural, but in the end I wanted something that worked!

We have just spent 2 weeks in bali and I used the Hawaian Tropics one and it was awesome...although he doesn't even have the slightest tan to show for his holiday

My boy was born in Nov and we went camping etc when he was 6 weeks - although we did the whole shade etc there were times that it wasn't possible so we used the hawian Tropic stuff on him from 6 weeks with no problems. I did ring the plunket line who said that its best to avoid but sunscreen is better than hopig for the best.
