Topic: Spotting Posted: 03 July 2007 at 6:48pm |
Today I started to lightly spot, it was pink when I looked at the loo paper and then after a hour or so it went brownish and now its a wee but pink again but still really light.
I have my normal cramps, nothing painful or anything...
Ive called my midwife and she said that if Im still spotting tomorrow she will do a blood test and check for my hcg levels, Im so worried

Sheza a few girls in the Jan thread had a bit of bleeding too and they were fine. If it's very light it's probably ok so take it easy and try not to stress too much (I know easier said than done)
Big to you. Get DP/DH/DF to run around after you tonight

I know it's hard Sheza but try not to worry. I had a pink tinge on the loo paper every time I went for 2 days and my midwife said that as long as it doesn't get worse and that I wasn't cramping that 99.95% of the time it is nothing to worry about. It went away after the second day and I haven't had it again since. My first scan is next week and I still wonder if everything is still alright but all we can really do is keep hoping that everything is fine. As long as it stops soon and doesn't get worse you should be fine. It is really scary though.

I have never had this, but I know that HEAPS of other ladies have had spotting at some stage of pregnancy and they have healthy babes now. Like Bobbie said, try not to stress too much and look after yourself. Big hugs from me too

 Sheza!
Spotting can be normal. Personal question, but have you had sex lately? That can cause a little bit of light spotting.
As the other ladies have said, take it really easy and put your feet up.
Thinking of you!

It could be that your AF was due around now, its quite common for spotting to occur at this time. I know it's probably killing you not knowing what's happening, but hopefully it's nothing. Some women spot throughout their whole pregnancy, although when I had a light bleed at 15 wks this comment did nothing to make me feel better! I just wanted to know my baby was ok, which it was .

I am sure if you ask, you can get one! I had one at 6 weeks, but that was a dating one, so it can definately be done! It reassures you that everything is alright, I would want one to! Just ask.....no harm in asking Sheza!!
 to you!

I had spotting at 5 and 9 weeks with the gremlins, then again at 25 weeks, and I can hear grunting and snorting on the baby monitor right now, so am pretty sure they both turned out OK!
Good luck with the hCG levels tomorrow.

That's good news Sheza! Fingers crossed its stopped for good now.
I had early scans with both my pregnancies, just because I really wanted to see the little heartbeat and reassure myself. Don't be shy! Your midwife can write it up as a dating scan for you
