Today I started to lightly spot, it was pink when I looked at the loo paper and then after a hour or so it went brownish and now its a wee but pink again but still really light.
I have my normal cramps, nothing painful or anything...
Ive called my midwife and she said that if Im still spotting tomorrow she will do a blood test and check for my hcg levels, Im so worried

Sheza a few girls in the Jan thread had a bit of bleeding too and they were fine. If it's very light it's probably ok so take it easy and try not to stress too much (I know easier said than done)

Big to you. Get DP/DH/DF to run around after you tonight

I know it's hard Sheza but try not to worry. I had a pink tinge on the loo paper every time I went for 2 days and my midwife said that as long as it doesn't get worse and that I wasn't cramping that 99.95% of the time it is nothing to worry about. It went away after the second day and I haven't had it again since. My first scan is next week and I still wonder if everything is still alright but all we can really do is keep hoping that everything is fine. As long as it stops soon and doesn't get worse you should be fine. It is really scary though.

I have never had this, but I know that HEAPS of other ladies have had spotting at some stage of pregnancy and they have healthy babes now. Like Bobbie said, try not to stress too much and look after yourself. Big hugs from me too

Sheza!
Spotting can be normal. Personal question, but have you had sex lately? That can cause a little bit of light spotting.
As the other ladies have said, take it really easy and put your feet up.
Thinking of you!

It could be that your AF was due around now, its quite common for spotting to occur at this time. I know it's probably killing you not knowing what's happening, but hopefully it's nothing. Some women spot throughout their whole pregnancy, although when I had a light bleed at 15 wks this comment did nothing to make me feel better! I just wanted to know my baby was ok, which it was .

I am sure if you ask, you can get one! I had one at 6 weeks, but that was a dating one, so it can definately be done! It reassures you that everything is alright, I would want one to! Just ask.....no harm in asking Sheza!!

to you!

I had spotting at 5 and 9 weeks with the gremlins, then again at 25 weeks, and I can hear grunting and snorting on the baby monitor right now, so am pretty sure they both turned out OK!

Good luck with the hCG levels tomorrow.

That's good news Sheza! Fingers crossed its stopped for good now.
I had early scans with both my pregnancies, just because I really wanted to see the little heartbeat and reassure myself. Don't be shy! Your midwife can write it up as a dating scan for you

PS. If you want a scan to set your mind at ease and your midwife won't refer you, you can get your GP to refer you and GP visits are free if they are pregnancy related.

Oh okays thanks for that maya, Im not too worried at the moment because Ive just checked and there was next to nothing on the loo paper so I think its easing up now, it was never heavy or anything but enough to make me go into a panic, but Im off now to get my blood tests done, eew I hate having it done!!!

Will update when I know more, thanks for everyones support, it means so much

Best thing about spotting is early scans i got one cos the second time i had spotting it went a bit red but at the scan everything was going fine and they found no reason for it so im sure it will be the same for you.

I did the same thing and did a extra preg test or two to make sure my second line was still there hehehe

Yeah Im glad about the scan but Im so nervous about it to I dont know what I will do if I lose the baby...
But brown blood indicates old blood right? And do you normaly get brown blood with a m/c?

brown blood is old blood. i dont know about normally but brown blood can be present at a miscarriage. i am glad you are going for a scan...be positive, but you need to be prepared for a worst case scenario too.
i'm sure all of the girls on the board will have our fingers crossed for you.

Hey all, yep I updated on the Feb board. I'll copy and paste it into here.

Update:

Wll Ive been for my scan, and Im only measuring 5 weeks 2 days, and all he can see is the gestational sac but no yolk sac and no fetal pole....and no heart beat so I dont know anymore.
I called my midwife and told her and she said that my Hcg levels match perfectly with how far along the scan says that I am. But, Ive started to bleed heavier and its gettinf more red in colour now and there was a few bits in the blood, Its hardly staining the pad Im wearing, its just when I wipe.
I have to go for another blood test tomorrow, and another one on Monday, so tomorrow she will be able to tell me wether my hcg levels are going down or up, and then I have another scan in 2 weeks.
I think I feel even worse than I did before the scan!
My midwife thinks that the bleeding might be inplantation, because the sonographer couldnt see where the bleeding was coming from and on the bit of paper he wrote "No free pelvic fluid detected" what ever that means...
And he said the gestational sac is about 8mm with a faint double decidual sac sign..again, whatever that means.

oh, that raises more questions than it does answers! I'm not sure if you can usually see a 5w pulse? I love the words on your ticker!

You can't usually see a heartbeat at scans before 6 weeks I think.
Fingers toes and everything crossed for you and wee bean!!
Hang in there chick and take it really easy.

hehe thanks busymum,

And yeah your right it does raise more questions, but my midwife seemed quite pleased that my hcg is matching where im at in weeks, Im guessing if my hcg was lower then thats bad.
And, bleeding has stopped at the moment, it stops and starts and at the moment its pretty much stopped so oh my god please pray that its stopped for good.
The sonographer did say one good thing though, he couldnt detect any "lumps" in my cervix so yay for that lol

Here's the picture of my scan...
