Hi everyone - over the holidays my 7 (well he is in two weeks) was going to bed at 8.30 an hour later than school time and then messing around and constantly coming back into the lounge with excuses etc etc and finally going to sleep about 9.30 -10.00pm

and then would wake at about 7am the following morning! Obviously not enough sleep for a 7 year old.
He is back at school and seems quite content but can be quite anxious and loves a routine which he thrives under and if his ducks arent in a row he loses the plot and has a major melt down - which drives me insane as it is usually over trival things ie left his pencil case at school, I explain it is ok but he crys and crys and crys
I have tried all the normal stuff like bribery, lying in bed with him (but i fall asleep and he doesnt haha) yelling at him and trying to talk and understand his train of thought for not going to sleep, etc etc.
Hes a bright boy and i am now seriously considering taking him to the doctor to see if there is anything we can give him as his brain wont stop and then he cant sleep IYKWIM.
I suddenly thought of night nurse as i know this can calm you down etc and I was wondering if anyone else knew of anything homopathetic that i could use!!!
