Topic: Choose 3 things Posted: 23 January 2011 at 8:30pm |
I recently read an article about someone preparing for her wedding day. A friend gave her the advice to choose 3 things she really cares about and if something goes wrong with anything else she wasn't allowed to stress about it. I thought this was a super idea and I've decided to apply it to my life this year and it's already liberating so i thought I'd share.
The 3 things I really really care about this year are:
- My wee family (this was my way of making DH, DD & DS count as one)

- Being able to pay all our bills on time
- Having a family overseas holiday
I am not allowed to stress about anything else.
What would your 3 things be?

Hmm only 3, that's hard!!
*My family and managing to balance home & worklife
*Completing the bits & pieces needed on our house to get it ready to go on the market, and then find a bigger home
* Having a decent family holiday somewhere in NZ or Australia at Christmas

*Building my friends network now that I'm in Christchurch
*Getting and staying fit and eating more healthily (kinda go hand in hand so made it all one )

Same as fattartsrock, family is a given
* trying to save some $$ rather than only just getting by at the moment
* keeping PND at bay - coming off meds and feeling great at the moment, but staying well and then being good while TTC #3 sometime this year
* trying to get more of the house completed before building consent is up towards the end of the year

Three things that I am 'allowed' to stress about this year ...
* learning how to be a good mum (or any kind of mum)
* keeping the family finances balanced on a single income
* continuing my weight loss (actually losing weight while pregnant) and improving my health and fitness.
