Nothing, mine was crap, and wasn't there for the birth lol

If I had a good one I would maybe get something from the body shop. Or a nice bottle of wine and choccies.

DH and I enjoy the occasional single malt whisky and it cropped up in conversation once with our MW that she did too. As she's Irish we got her a very nice Irish whiskey. And a home made thank you card with DS's photo.

I 'd my MW.

We got our MW some really nice handcream from Smith and Caugheys . . she mentioned once it's the one thing that MWs can never have enough of since they are always washing their hands to handle mums and NBs! Plus I remember she said the industrial strength soap at the hospitals is really harsh on your skin.

There's a couple of threads on this here with some good ideas
You'll have to bypass the ones that aren't relevant, I don't know how to edit search results...

First time - a wicked necklace (which I have seen her wearing whne I didn't have an appt which is a good sign).
Second time - a funky wallet.
Back up MW - 2 x Movie tickets and a bottle of wine.

I think this is a lovely gift:

It's a Maori Koru necklace called Mother and Baby. A nice piece to wear.

I just bought our midwife gift yesterday......
Went for wonder thru Craft World at westgate (go the west!) and found a couple of ceramic korus - they mean new life, beginnings etc. thought she could have them either at home or in her rooms. Quite a good price to - cost the same as a decent bunch of flowers but last longer!

I gave mine an engraved pen, from mister minute. with all the writing they do, it seemed appropriate.
