I just bought our midwife gift yesterday......
Went for wonder thru Craft World at westgate (go the west!) and found a couple of ceramic korus - they mean new life, beginnings etc. thought she could have them either at home or in her rooms. We got our MW some really nice handcream from Smith and Caugheys . . she mentioned once it's the one thing that MWs can never have enough of since they are always washing their hands to handle mums and NBs! DH and I enjoy the occasional single malt whisky and it cropped up in conversation once with our MW that she did too. As she's Irish we got her a very nice Irish whiskey. And a home made thank you card with DS's photo.
