Hey Guys
So I was just wondering if anyone has had pregnancy symptoms with numerous BFNs and whether it turned out they were pregnant or not. And those that were pregnant with BFNs how long did it take to come up positive...has anyone gone through a whole pregnancy with a negative POAS.... any stories would be really helpful!!
Thanks All

Yeah my mind can convince my body of anything I reckon Last month I was sure I was preggo had all the symptoms except sore bbs... and on CD 49 af arrived! (I have long cycles at times).. The month before I got preggo with my one year old I could have sworn I was pg then as well - was sleeping all the time, sick, peeing etc... but got af on CD52. Does make me wonder if they were chem pregnancies as both such long cycles... It's so hard cos so many of the symptoms of pregnancy are the same as AF so best to try not to overthink it if poss... easier said than done of course
I hope your symptoms turn out to be a BFP soon

My really good friend was trying to get pregnant for 2 years before she got her BFP. I worked in the same office for a year and it was heart breaking to watch her go through the motions every month she was convinced she was pregnant but usually she was mistaking PMS signs for pregnancy signs. She wanted it so bad that I think she was convincing herself of signs that weren't really there and I'm sure the stress she was putting on herself wasn't helping. So when that time of month would arrive she would be in tears thinking it was a miscarrage
She had actually decided to give up trying for a year because she couldn't take it but as soon as she stoped trying she of course got a BFP She now has a gorgeous 4 month old girl

With my second son I got 5 negative tests and when I did get bloods done they weren't very good and they told me they thought I would miscarry. I then got sent for a scan where they told me that "it wasn't a viable pregnancy" but they were wrong and he is almost 5 . Sorry I rambled a bit but good luck with everything

Hey Bex - just wanted to say that after my M/C it took about 7-8 weeks for my AF to come back and i did keep thinking "oh maybe im pregnant" its really hard not to get worked up and think that every sign may be pregnancy. We took a little while off and when we started TTC again the first month i had convinced myself i was pregnant again and had sore nips and feeling sick but i think it was just my body playing tricks on me and cos my mind wanted it sooo much my body sort of delayed everything and i ended up having a 50 day cycle.
Best of luck tho and i hope you end up with a positive result soom

No personal experience but I read somewhere that there are some women who just don't metabolise HCG so they never get a + pee stick. But I would imagine that if you got a pee stick BFP with your last pg then that wouldn't be you and you would get a + pee stick if you were pg. Have you had AF since your mc? Do you know how many dpo you are?

girl i worked with never got a bfp on any of her test so she was pretty shocked when she went to the doc cos she was ill for a week to find out she was 7 or 8 weeks preg as she had been testing every few days

Yes. I had symptoms, all tests were negative. Doctor sent me for blood tests which also came back negative. Turned out I was pregnant afterall.
Negative blood test was when I was 7 weeks pregnant already

Hey all thanks for all the comments and keep them coming its reassuring hearing everyones stories!
Umm i have no idea how many dpo? lol also no AF since my m/c but i have been told that some people dont get one for months even after a m/c! I am a little worried however if im really not pregnant that something is wrong with me coz i definately dont feel a hundy!
Last night i thought maybe AF was coming coz i had bloating and crampy feeling in my lower abdomen but nothing again this morning... still feeling pretty nauseous but it goes away when i eat and today i got in the car and dry retched (soz tmi) plus still peeing a lot more than normal and not drinking any extra. And Reeeal tired! Lol any ideas to what might be wrong with me if im not pg? Im going to test again on Valentines Day if AF hasnt arrived by then.

Certainly sounds like preg symptoms, esp if you are that nauseous. Maybe you should get a blood test to see what your HCG levels are doing?
Good luck

Bex, if (and I hope it doesn't) AF shows up, it might be worth starting a symptoms diary. I was so sure I was pg each month and decided to write down each month what was going on the week before AF is due and I found that each month I feel sick and my boobs get sore etc, all those symptoms that could easily be both AF or a BFP.
I've found that even though I am still disappointed when AF arrives, because I've not read in to every single symptom because I know I get them each month it makes it easier to deal with.
Hugs to you and I hope you get a really sticky BFP soon x

 Hugs bexandantz
It does do your head in after a MC when you don't know what the hell is going on with your body.
Like gannet sugested, I think a symptom diary would be a good idea. I found keeping track of my temp & opk meant I could actually see things were working in there.
I would recommend asking the dr for some bloods - at least then you will be able to see if your HCG has returned to normal, is on its way to normal or (fingers crossed) is increasing.
Remember - what you are feeling now is completely normal (as crap and werid as it is) and there are always people online here who are more than happy to give advice, lend a shoulder to cry on or just listen when you need to vent.

im getting soo frustrated.... gah! I was naughty and did another test this morning again it came up BFN... but i was wondering... with my last pregnancy i went for a scan at what i thought was 7 weeks but it turned out i was only 5 weeks pregnant from the size of the sac. Im presuming this means id ovulated later than normal would that mean that i would normally ovulate at a later date to most people? So would mean a BFP wouldnt come up till probably 2 weeks after when i thought my af would come? Coz it will be 6 weeks this weds since my m/c? I dunno again grasping at straws but i just cant ignore the symptoms im getting grr... Sometimes i wish that i had a switch that i could turn off to stop looking so much into this!

bexandantz - goodness don't feel bad about doing another test - if it was me I'd have been doing one yesterday!!
I tested 6 weeks after mc but it was only 10 dpo, so maybe its still a bit too soon to tell for you as well. Maybe try another one on Wednesday?? easier said than done really!!
Until you know either way - this time waiting is going to do your head in! Its the not knowing whats going on I guess.
Hugs

Hi Bex. I'm just lurking to see how you are. Sorry to hear that things are still unclear for you, it must be so frustrating with the waiting and not knowing what's going on, especially when it's so hard not to analyse everything. I'm on the edge of my seat hoping you do get a BFP soon but I guess you'd just feel better having an answer either way so you know where to go from there. Anyway hugs to you and I'll keep lurking to see how things are going.
