Topic: Woosh internet services Posted: 02 May 2011 at 9:57am |
Does anyone use Woosh as their internet provider? Are they any good? They seem to have the cheapest prices for naked broadband that I can find, however is that cause they are slow and useless? TIA

We used them for five years. , and found it was a little slower
. We had wireless and found the net would disconnect in bad weather and the phone line would be terrible as well. Also found their customer service to be lacking. But they are very cheap

We used them for about 3 years until we moved to Aus, didn't have any real problems with them, couldn't compare speeds with any other providers as noone else did the net in our area, but DH never complained playing ps3 online etc.

We don't use them, but I do know people who haven't thought much of their customer service, I think it may be based overseas.

We had them for broadband and DH (computer geek) didn't like them. I didn't find them that bad though. A few random disconnections, but I was coming from using woosh wireless which wasn't fantastic.

We get disconnections with our vodafone atm which is a pain. We just need a line filter but no one is going out to buy one As for the customer service thing, its not often you deal with customer service unless you have an issue so I wouldn't go on that alone

We have it and find it fine, I think it depends how you are connected though as to how well it works, ours goes through the braodband phone lines whereas I know in a lot of places it goes through satellite which means it doesn't work as well. We have no issues, and find customer service fine

We use Woosh, most of the time its great. We've just moved from wired broadband to using a WiFi modem with a bigger data allowance. Sometimes we have issues with random disconnections with the WiFi (but it comes back on fairly quickly), but had no problems with the wired broadband. Doesn't seem slow, but I can't compare with other ISPs. Customer service does seem to be based overseas - depends on who you get at the time as to whether its good or bad.

Thanks for the replies ladies, they sound just like I thought they would, a bit cr*p on the customer service but okay speed wise. I dont need it to be super fast, just enough so I can get on here
