when your little one has a really bad cold to make them feel better?

I'll start:
I cuddle lots and just take the day easy.
I offer lots of sippy cup/BF
I boil water and put Vicks in it under his bed while he sleeps.
I let him eat whatever he will eat

I've found those nose aspirator bulbs really good for clearing out a blocked nose - tried one for the first time last night on my daughter - so that is my suggestion - get one before you need to use it.

Jody had her first cold recently.

I put a folded blanket under her mattress to raise her head a bit.
I made a saline solution (1/4t salt with 1c water) and put a drop up each nostril before bed. (replace the solution at least once every 24 hours)
I put about 1/2t eucaliptus oil in a bowl of boiling water under her bed at night.
She sat in the bathroom when DH or I had a shower.
Lots of cuddles and rest.
And some Pamol.

ETA I also put baby balsam on her chest/back but put vasaline on first, morning and night
ETA again; I put vasaline on her lips and nostrils sometimes too so stop them from getting dry and sore, she seemed to really enjoy that.
