I started taking Vitex in the tincture form about 6 weeks ago - just to generally help out my hormones.

I was taking about 2ml once a day (equals 400mg dry berries).

Before I took it my cycles were 27 days in length, but my next cycle was 37 days in length and now AF is late this month too... has anyone had Vitext dramatically increase the length of their cycles? I want 27 days cycles!

Man that's soooo annoying Brixey!! It can take 3 months to work properly so maybe it's still sorting things out It can help lengthen LP but that can't explain a ten day increase! Did you get advice on the correct dosage? I'm not sure how much tincture you are suppose to take but I know the pills I was taking were 1000mg....

How come you were taking it if your cycles were okay to start with?? was it for your LP?

hey Brixey,
I began taking vitex (Capsules)2 months ago. It began to do its thing straight away. My cycle was anything from 32 to 45 days long, the vitex pulled it back to 29 with Ov on day 13 and this month i am hoping Ov day15 so i should be back to 31 days again.
I really dont (didnt) believe in natural/herbal remedies but I take them in hope. This one is amazing, I am telling everyone about it. I hope it continutes to amaze me.

I have heard it does different things to everyone. Have a chat to the ladies at your local health shop, thats what I did, they are quite willing to help even without selling anything. I even ph them if I feel the need.

It shortened my cycle, I only took it one month before I got my BFP but I normally O around CD23 - CD25. The month I took the vitex I got postive OPK on CD13 but had a big work do that night and got plastered and I think that put Ov off. I did Ov 5 days later on CD18... the earliest EVER.

A longer cycle than normal can indicate that you have not ovulated that cycle..

Hope they go back to normal ASAP for you!
