So I've had the worst day I've had in a long time.
By a lot of standards it's nothing. Especially compared to some of you lovely ladies recently.
It started off OK. (Well, as OK as a day can be after being woken every half hour thanks to DH with his cough - poor chap).
Hannah was happy and smiley between waking at 8:30 (see, GREAT start to the day - awesome sleep in!!) and 10 when I put her down for her nap.
A switch went off! She turned so feral.
I actually found myself yelling at her at one point to "shut up a minute and let Mummy clear her head!"
She finally went down, after an hour of rocking and reassurance.
Only to wake 20 mins later.
She seemed a bit chirpier, so I offered her the boob.
Nope. No way. HELL NO!
But it had been 3 hours since her last feed, so I expressed and gave her the bottle - which she guzzled.
So I know she isn't sick at this point.
I put her down for another nap. This time I got 45 mins out of her.
Then she continued to be a right royal PITA for the rest of the day.
Then DH comes home and shes all smiles
So she had her 5:30 feed without a hitch and went to sleep at 6.
The cat decided it would be awesome to stand under her basinette and yowl. And yowl. And yowl.
So just as I thought my day was on the up she's now awake again and grizzling like she's been neglected.
*tears hair out*
Thank goodness for DH. Despite his sore throat and fluey symptoms, he's taking care of her while I quietly go insane
Please, oh PLEASE let tomorrow be better.
Thanks for reading, if you still are.
Rant over!

eden had a growth spurt recently and boy that was hard, especially when you are not used to them being so tricky... so sympathy and hugs...
she'll be fine again tomorrow...

Thanks
I don't think she's teething. I had a nosey in her mouth and her gums still feel quite soft.
She's asleep now, so I'll leave her, rather than waking her for her 7:30 feed.
I think she was just overtired from the broken sleep last night.

Tomorrow WILL be better! That was my mantra when the evil gremlins were tiny and screamed all the time.
Big hugs! And I love the new name too!

Do you have a Bengal or an Asian breed of cat. That's the sort of thing our Bengal would do and when he wakes Lucy, I could just about give him away.
I hate days like that.

You poor thing I hope she sleeps well tonight and has a better day tomorrow. Our cat does that too sometimes and it's always after you've had a bad day and finally got bub to sleep.

Robyn, AFAIK she's just a black moggy. We got her from the SPCA but I think she has "something" in her because she's VERY loud and vocal.
And I know what you mean - I would be happy to give her away in the heat of the moment, but as soon as things are better I just scoop her up for a cuddle and feel so bad!
You can't win!!
Thanks Emma, it's my favourite photo right now
Thanks Amber and Liz
DH is taking a sick day tomorrow.
I think partly because he's feeling grotty but mainly to give me a helping hand and a bit of a break.
I have so many errands to run. I just couldn't get to them today. So hopefully he'll be happy enough to look after Hannah for an hour or so while I go out and do them!!

Oh poor you having a bad day! I loathe bad grizzly baby days. Sort of had one myself, after Jett had a pretty rotton night, but I do think he's teething.
Hope Hannah sleeps well tonight (and Dh doesn't cough too much and keeps you awake), and tomorrow will be a better day!!! (expecially since Dh will be home to help - YAY!!)

Oh and I'm glad I opened this thread, as I had no idea you'd changed your name, and thought we had a new "addicted" mumma!

Just remember .. tommorrow WILL be better.

Liz, that's gorgeous!! Made me teary
Thanks for the songs, ladies!
nzpiper, LOL!!
Well, DH slept in the spare room so I could starfish! ahhhh
Hannah woke at about 1:30 so I popped her in bed with me for a few minutes until she fell asleep again. Put her back in her basinette and she woke again at 6am!!
AWESOME!
Thanks for giving me love yesterday!
If today is crap - I've had enough sleep to cope with it! (Hannah's currently squealing with joy in her jolly jumper - one sock on, one kicked off!).
And DH is home, too. SO YAY!
