Hi everyone,

My due date is fast approaching, and I am starting to think about the actual labour/delivery/hopsital side of things.

I have no idea what to pack to take to the hospital (for baby and for me) so any advice/tips/lists etc would be amazing!!

Thanks in advance

This website is INCREDIBLY helpful. And hilarious.http://www.pregnantchicken.com/pregnant-chicken-blog/2012/5/21/hospital-bag-what-to-pack.html

Just think if it as you're going away for a couple of days. Comfy clothes. Feeding singlets. Maternity pads breast pads and underwear you don't mind throwing away :)

Don't forget a wee beanie for baby! I did and he had to wear one of those random old stockings that they supply.

I second the lots of clothes for baby. I packed at least 2/3 outfits per day we had to be there and my son still left the hospital in just a sleepsuit with nothing underneath (in June) as he just peed on the last of his clothes moments before we left. Small babies are messy.

In Wgtn the only stuff they give you are maternity pads (& suprisingly they're nicer thant the supermarket ones so grab as many packs as you can) so you'll need to bring nappies and wipes for the baby as well as a blanket/wrap/swaddle or two.

And some flushable toilet paper wipes (kinda like baby wipes for grownups) - so much nicer and gentler than scratchy hospital 1-ply toilet paper
