Midwife and leave

So I have just been informed by my MW that she has a family emergency and will be on leave until September 1st. This normally wouldn't bother me however I have only had 3 appointments with her (I've had a couple with her partner) and now she will be away until a month before I'm due. I'm concerned that I'm not getting continuity of care which is what I really wanted and I haven't had the chance to build a relationship with her like I did with the midwife I had for DD.

I have 3 options

Stay with her and see her partner for the next 6 weeks or so.
Change to her partner or another midwife in their practice.
Go back to the midwife that I had with DD1 which will mean a 40 minute drive to all appointments including post natal, provided she can take me on.

I'm leaning towards going with my old midwife as I already have the relationship and she was fantastic. It was the travel time that had me looking closer to home but I am willing too now that this has been thrown into the mix.

What would you do?

I'm travelling that way for work anyway so would get the appointments on the days I work so that it's not any extra trip.

Will ring my old MW today and see what she says.

My old MW has taken me on, feel so relieved as I was worried about forming a relationship with my other one.

Jano1 last time I had a different MW for post natal too as we lived over an hour away (moved during pregnancy), so I may keep my current one for that. I can stay in Hamilton for the day or overnight at the in laws so as long as I have a straight forward birth I can't seeing it being a problem. I'm also going to check to see if my GP can do post natal checks. We were planning on giving birth at a birthing centre in Hamilton so that won't change.
