Hi,

I'm taking DS2 to the osteo today and i'm a bit nervous, i've chosen one that has been suggested to me by friends who have used them so thats good and we are going for a few reasons, he favours turning his head one way (rubbed hair off on one side of his head only)

He has issues with constipation (sometimes doesn't poop for 7+ days) and he hates the car, anyway on talking to others they suggested trying an osteo, but I guess my worry is that other than those things he is a super happy little boy and he is an amazing night sleeper (useless in the day) so I don't want anything to change that.

Just wanted some experiences to read about really - thanks

I took my girls to an Osteo when they were very little for favouring a particular side of their head.

It's incredibly gentle treatment and my girls were so relaxed they feel asleep during or directly after the treatment.

I see an Osteo regularly and have for years so I'm very pro Osteopathic treatment, but TBH I didn't really notice any difference with their heads. It did seem to help with their wind though.

I'm not expecting much, just interested to see if it can help - good to know you had a good experience.

We had about 4 treatments with between 1 and 3 weeks break between each treatment for a few issues including DD favouring one side.

The osteo did say she may be a bit unsettled after a treatment while her body realigned itself, but I didn't notice any difference in that regard. I did notice an immediate improvement each time, with further improvement over the period between each treatment.

It was such a gentle treatment and the osteo was so calming and respectful of her. I felt completely at ease.

Good luck for the treatment, hope it helps your wee man.

We had a great experience with the osteo - my wee one had a bit of a traumatic birth and so we just took her in case anything had been jolted out of place!

Noticed immediate improvements in mood and sleeping, also burped much faster after each appointment. Like has been said, they can get worse before they get better but the stretches of good get much longer. The local guy here has seen pretty much our entire coffee group and my wee girl had the most appointments at 6, some kiddies went and he said they didnt need him so only had the one appt..

So after each appt she was great, then a bit grizzly, the good times got longer and longer until the last appointment she seems to have been happy ever since (its been about 2 months since we last saw him)

So I would highly recommend them :)

I took James a couple of times when he was young till about 3months and I'm not sure if it helped but he did seem to stop being so irritable.
I've been taking Lewis since he was 5 weeks old, we went regularly because of his crappy start to life and we still go every 2 months and I do think that going to them is the reason he has developed normally with no obvious delays, I have absolutely no idea what they do but they are very gentle. He's always been a good sleeper at night and that doesn't change post appointments.
