QuoteReplyTopic: Activities for 4 yr old in Chch? Posted: 06 November 2010 at 7:21pm
My brother and his nearly 4 year old boy have arrived in Chch for three weeks from Dubai. Has anyone got some suggestions as to what they can do while they are here? They'll be on the west side of town, but can travel.
There is heaps to do!
Willowbank - animal park type place ( my kids love it, we go heaps)
Orana Park - a wildlife park lions, tigers, monkeys etc
The museum is great and right beside the Botanic Gardens where there is a really good park.
Wigram Airforce Museum
Any of the beaches on nice days
The Gondola up the Port Hills
The Tram around central Chch
QEII pool complex - brilliant for kids, even better during the day on week days, way less busy.
The Antarctic Centre near the airport.
Hmmm thats all I can think of for now but there are heaps of things to do.
I'll second what lottieand harry says. Can't think of any others but we have loads of good parks too. There is the Groynes, we go to Bishopdale park loads. We walk around the Travis Wetlands too.
