Is there a trick?
The morning poo is substantial. Its yukky. Not explosive or dioreah... but big, and really smelly etc.
Lately I think its whats been causing DS to wake so damn early... he always has a whopper when I get to him.... I know he hates being in a dirty nap- So would I)

How do I 'slow things up'? perhaps a couple of hours.
We try to give a reasonable amount of protein for tea (around 5pm- tried to stretch it to 6pm- no go- screams blue murder)... thought thatd help get him through.

Any tips??

One day Lily just stopped pooing in the night, I guess it coincided with me deciding to not change her during the night and her moving to her cot.

She didn't mind the first night and just adjusted.

ETA: Instead of pooping at 3am she waits until 7am

Lol we have this as well!

This is not fool proof by any means, but he seems to save his morning poo till after breakfast if he has a carb rich dinner - usually mashed potato or pasta, no fruit for dessert (I give it to him after brekky and lunch, def no kiwifruit/prunes etc) and no leafy greens or broccolli with dinner (again he has them at diff time of the day. Spinach is guaranteed to make him do a massive poo first thing )

Good luck hun

last night I avoided meat, and only a wee bit of silverbeet... he is yet to poo.

Ill try again tonight.

we gave him rice, carrot, parsnip, silverbeet, all tastied up w a bit of curry pow- which he loves.

NO peas either which I ussually give him. Maybe the secret.

Ill feedback about tomorrow too.
