Hi,
Has anyone used ovulation wee strips, gotten negatives but still ovulated/gotten pregnant?????
Iv only just started using these strips this month as i thought they would help aid my ovulation microscope, but so far im 6 days past "suspected ovulation" and i never got a positive!? i got full on ferning on my microscope and very obvious ovulation pains but no positive on the wee strips and i didnt notice an obvious sign of change in CM!!??
Can anyone shed some light on my question please??:):):)

Thanks, Amber.

Never had any probs with Ovulation strips but i do know that some women who have PCOS are doomed with OPKs due to the hormone problem. I havent heard of false results with OPKs only women who have "missed" the surge and ovulated without knowing, sometimes when you test the surge could peak overnight and therefore you miss it.

In regards to the ovulation scope be aware that the full ferning can happen as early as 3 days before ovulation.

Just keep bding to keep ur bases covered and good luck chick

as far as my knowledge goes there shouldnt be able to get "false" results with the test strips. Maybe what Jess has said is right regarding peaking at night. I have had problems with the microscope testing so i cant help you there sorry. < language=>

the ovulation test strips test for the hormone surge that happens when you ovulate, I don't think you could ovulate and not have a surge, however it could be that you missed it by testing before or after it happened, or perhaps your pee was too diluted from drinking too much before the test. When I used the the line got gradually darker each day, but I think last month the dark line took my by surprise as I expected it to be a couple of days off yet based on the previous test.

Hi ladies

Im feeling really confident this month!
For the past few days iv been feeling a bit off - iv had flu like symptoms but no flu (like with my other pregnancies), slightly tender Breasts, queziness (not sure about that cos its way too early!!!!???), extreme tiredness, lots of CM, a low but soft cervix (was high for the past week) and last but not least, i have been getting weird heavy feelings and mild but uncomfortable cramps on and off! Oh and my microscope has gone back to full on ferning after returning to rocks yesterday and day before!?.
So heres hoping but if its not then we will be happy to go through it all again next month because itl be worth it in the end .....as i type that, my son is slowly but surely driving me nutts!!! sitting next to me driving a truck all over my head and getting my hair tangled in its wheels!!!!! Ya gotta love it though ay
