Hi,
Its one thing after another this week.
Ok, my little man now has an upset tummy, it doesn't seem to be bothering him much and he's still eating and drinking.
he has been on anti biotics for an ear infection, but they finish today so wonder if that could be it.
Is there anything I need to do/not do?
He's only had this since yesterday afternoon and nothing all night, but several dirty nappies this morning.

One thing you can do is buy some peadialyte, that just helps keep them hydrated better than water. Keep an eye on any temps and give pamol for those and just make sure he still has wet nappies (can be hard when they all have runny poos in).
My 2 year old has a hideous stomach bug at the mo but he is drinking heaps and picking at food so not too worried but I did just get him some peadialyte to help. The pharmacist said to make an ice block with it, so have some sitting in the freezer, apparently it's easier to get it in to them that way than trying to get them to sip at it.

Oh and yeah antibiotics can give you the runs, also you could ask the pharmacist for a powdered probiotic to replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics would have destroyed and that will help his immune system fight off anything else.

Id say it could be the antibiotics, I know they give me an upset tummy when I have to take them

Ok, well its got worse every hour or two he is going, again not bothering him when he does go, but its so often.
Blimey huggies are doing well today.
Feeding him apple and rice, stuff that used to clog him up.
He's drinking well and hungry too - so I guess he's not unwell?!

Lil miss got nasty runs when she was on amoxicillin, they changed it to cefaclor and it wasn't so bad but she was still more regular than usual til she finished the course.

Well he's finished the course, so i'm hoping it clears up a bit tomorrow. Don't fancy this many nappy changes on a 23 hour flight!!!!!!!!!!
He was on amoxocillin too, guess that is the common one, worth remembering next time to perhaps try a different one.

Hope is ok by tomorrow. I think bananas are good for stopping you up as well. I wouldn't say to give if he had a tummy bug as it's better to let it all come out but it sounds like it's just the antibiotics causing it.
