Does any one else have problems mixing Karicare formula? I seem to end up with lumps in it? or sludgy formula at the bottom of the bottle.

I emailed Karicare only to be told to make the water hotter (not always possible) or to mix it in a bowl with a whisk (even less possible!!!)

If i give it a really good shake it gets very frothy and full of air - not ideal

Any ideas?

Maybe tap the bottom of bottle on the bench to release the air bubbles? (well that's what I do when I'm making coffee!)

Do you shake it with something on top that stops the air getting in? (ie, a lid rather than a teat).

Sorry - not much help - I haven't had any problems with lumpiness, but then I shake it vigorously.

yes we had this problem with the Stage two formula.
Even after whisking it it would still clump a bit.
The stage 3 is fine though.

I get this!!!
we turn it upsidedown... and swirl it too...so dont shake it as such- you end up w milkshake!!!
It takes a bit of time- so frustrating when you have a hungry squeeler too.
We found premaking the 2 night feeds helps- the extra time allows it to dissolve too.

Yeah we had the same prob when caden was having the 6 months+ stuff, I would just shake the hell out of the bottle(we never had any issues with air/wind from that), or heat it up again in the microwave and shake it again, that always made it better, but we still got little lumps and sludgy stuff. Now that he is on the Toddler Milk we dont get that problem.
