Topic: Tummy Bug Posted: 08 April 2009 at 2:52pm |
Im full of questions at the moment!!
Since Monday night I have had what seems to be a tummy bug, Im not throwing up, its the other end, and I cant seem to keep anything in When ever I eat, even if its just a banana or plain biscuit, 10 or 20 mins later Im in the loo again Ive been drinking water all day(and trying to eat!).
Im so tired and fed up, and hungry! So my question is, when should I start to worry and do tummy bugs tend to hang around longer while pregnant? Its coming up 48 hours tonight that Ive felt off.
Lily is moving around happily today so no worry's there.

Yeah Im pretty sure my MW would say no to me taking that She is pretty tough when it comes to things like that, she would only let me have manuka honey lemin drink when I had the flu
I might have to go to the chemist tomorrow if I'm no better, and ring the back up MW(my MW is on holiday).

You could try cooled boiled lemonade it tastes awful but it will help but some sugar into you i had to have it when i was a kid. Staying hydrated is the most important thing though. Hopefully you will be better soon

even just plain white toast with butter can be good.... qick carbo to keep a bit of energy. (I dont ussually reccomend white bread but its great for this)
Or salada crakers.

Thanks kitkat, i think I will have some toast for dinner. I ate some dried banana and nuts earlier and they have stayed in, haven't had to run to the loo since about 2.30.
I have asked DH to bring home some crackers and lemonade for me as well. I'm going to give Caden his dinner a little soon, then we can get him showered and into bed and I can relax!
I'm feeling a little bit better this evening, just drained really, I hope my dinner stays down and that tomorrow this bug is gone!

It looks so simple to spell!! i just dont get it!
Glad you are feeling better. Yeah i wasnt sure if you could take them but wondered because DH had a DIARRHEA ( ) bug a few weeks back and had to take diastop i tend to stick to the bananas - they are one of those things that i cant eat usually bcos they cause a *blockup* so i eat them when i want to get that affect !
