Topic: DH Nesting? Posted: 02 January 2009 at 10:18am |
Has anyone elses DH started nesting?? I'm not interested at all at the moment aside from washing baby clothes and sorted out bags etc.
Honestly, i've had to hide the spray n wipe and put a limit on paper towel usage! He's scrubbed everything from skirting boards to ceilings through to windows and even started on the outside of the house! Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic that he's doing this and he's always been helpful around the house, just seems like he's taken over the nesting role lol.
Very weird. He mumbles while he's cleaning about No Daughter of his is going to live in a dirty hole (our house may be untidy at times but it's not dirty at all).

How long has he been on leave now??? I think it could be cos of that. If he has been on leave since camp close down then I would say it is bordem - I have one of those and he doesn't go back till the 16th.

He's been on leave since just before Xmas and goes back on Monday. I'm going to be SO bored! I just can't get motivated to do anything.

Haha that's so cute Dana - I say leave him to it!
My DH has suddenly taken it upon himself to paint the bathroom - I'm not sure why, as it didn't really need doing.

My DH was the same.
Luckily one of us is interested in cleaning, and thankfully it's not me

Oh yes my DH is the same, hes gone nuts but doing renovation type stuff rather than cleaning. And im sure we're paying the builders to do the renovations but he was in there all day yesterday.
Im staying out of the way - let them go nuts, im far too hot to think about doing any of it haha

My DH seemed pretty relaxed, but then when he left the hospital after I gave birth, apparently he went home and barely slept because he was so busy scrubbing everything in preparation for us to come home. I was expecting him to come in to visit us quite early the next day but he didn't come in until about lunch time because he was cleaning everything! It was lovely coming home to a clean house though

Dh this time has painted two rooms, & also finished one cupboard & the ceiling lol
He is away working now so he can't do stuff, but told me this morning what else he had planned lol
