I have a Phil & Teds portacot, its one of those that the self inflating mattress slides in through a pocket under the canvas, what I am not sure of is how safe would it be to use sheets in this as their is nothing to wrap the sheets around? I like to use a safety sleep but again nothing to wrap this around. The box says not to use other mattresses with it, my question is does anyone else have one of these andhow do they manage when they go away?

I have one of the older style Phil and Teds port a cots, so the mattress sits inside the cot. Can you just put it inside the cot anyway? I love ours!

I know they say not to use another mattress, but for a while there DD1 wouldn't sleep on their one so I went to Para Rubber in town and bought a thicker foam mattress that fit really snugly into the cot. I was happy using it as usually when we are away she's in the same room as us anyway. It was probably even a bit bigger than the inflatable one, but the material of the sides of the cot stretched a bit so it fit well and meant she was more comfy and we could use the sheets etc. Maybe something to look into?
I'm not a huge fan of foam matteresses in general but for a port a cot situation I think they're fine.
Mum to two gorgeous girls!
