Different babies react differently to different formulas. even when they are the same in all appearances some can make a baby constipated, others they can not like. Some babies can be fine no matter what.

I would have thought it less than ideal to change for a short period of time, but don't know anything more than what I have said.

We have done that on ocassions where the one we want isn't in stock so have got the gold version of it. It didn't seem to make any difference that we noticed.

We buy two brands (nurture and S26) and also buy both standard and gold formulas - just depending on whats most economical to buy at the time and Carys has never had a problem when switching. Often we could switch weekly (as that's how long a tin lasts us). I didn't even think about any concerns with changing formulas but it doesn't seem to affect our girl. She has mild eczema but has had that long before she had her first taste of formula!

I would have thought it's OK to have the gold version and then switch back - I think the gold just has added fish oils etc for brain development and is not that different in composition to make a difference.
This is only an opinion though - we've only ever switched Gina once and that was between 2 brands and we did it over a week long period or so
