whether there baby is now 5 yrs old or a new born. my girl is now 2 yrs 8 months. she weighed 639 grams and was tiny. just thought it might be interesting to share and talk tips etc.
cheyenne was born 29 weeks and neither of us would have made it if she hadnt been born when she was. she weighed 639 grams and its been a long struggle. we spent ten weeks two days in hospital. well she did we just came and went. while up there she got a group b strep infection which she did stop breathing but was brought back. then day before she finally came home she needed a hernia op. shes now 2 yrs 8 months
oh now shes a typical naughty into everything two yr old. very cheeky as they all are. one problem i have is to get clothes to fit as they are either too big or two small. shes short from stomache down and long from stomache up lol. very small waist so pants are the hardest to get to fit.
me again i also have a 13 yr old daughter who it was hard on as she had to stay with grand parents but is very good to her sister. she was a normal size baby though.
Hiya, my son was a little prem, born at 34 weeks but due to gestational diabetes he was a good size, 7lb 4oz. My sister wee girl was born at 32 weeks and the next one at 28 weeks, he was just over 1lb and was in nicu for ages. that was really hard on them becuase she still had a 4yr old and a 1.5yr old to contend with plus he was born in Oct and only came home from hospital 2 weeks before they all moved to England!
i love hearing about these wee fighters....it must set them on such an amazing road for life knowing what they did to stay here! Congrats Anita on having such a wee fighter. I know someone who just had a bubba at 27 weeks gest....have to say Im kinda nervous to call and ask how they are doing!
