I'd love to hear your experiences with this. DD1 toilet trained herself about 4-5 months ago (so at about 20 months), during the last few weeks there's been an increase in accidents until the last few days when it seems every time is an accident! Sometimes she's completely embarrassed and will try to clean it up (clean freak!) and other times she doesn't notice at all. I don't make a bit deal out of it I just remind her to go to the potty when she needs to, and have started popping her on every few hours during the day lately. Am not sure if I should be putting her back in nappies again, or trying a reward/sticker chart?

What have you done, what's worked and what's been an utter failure!?!

I wouldnt put her back in nappies as that might send her even further back, but just keep doing what your doing, by putting her on the potty every few hours.

My DS wasnt ready to TT at 2, he was terrified of the potty ands he didnt want to know about undies, but at 2 1/2 he TT in a few weeks, I kept him in undies for the days we were at home, and he did poo and wee them for a while but after maybe a week of that he started telling me when he wanted to go, and now he does all his wees and poos on the potty or the toilet.

We used lollypops as treats when he did something in the potty or toilet and that worked well!

My DD was fully toilet trained at 20 months aswell, all of her own accord, I just followed her lead. Anyway, she has regressed a few times, even this week she's had a couple of accidents, I just go with it as it usually only lasts a few days and then she's back to no accidents again. In our case I think DD holds on for too long and then simply hasn't got time to get to the toilet! This week particularly, she actually starts going in her knickers while running to the toilet, so it really is a case of holding on till the very very last minute!

I definately would not put her back in nappies, I think thats giving the wrong message but thats just IMO of course    I would just just roll with it and reinforce and encourage use of the toilet.

Thanks guys, will listen to my intuition! Funny how you feel the need to question it, eh?

its pretty normal to regress, usually for a few weeks at a time. Don't go back tho, just part of the process.
