Just wondering what pain relieft remedies you guys use for your babies?
Poor J is really struggling with teething at the minute. This is a bit new to me as the only symptoms DS1 had was yucky poo's and then a tooth would pop through.
I give him pamol, he wears a teething necklace, and I alternate between bonjela and teething powder. Yet he is still beside himself before a nap and generally really unhappy and grumpy most of the day. The teeth seem to be taking absolutely ages to come through too and it is just awful for him (and us). I am going to get a script for baby ibuprofen today to try. Is there anything else I am missing?

Teethmed Spray? I had it reccommended to me and it has seemed to work.
When bubs is in teething pain I usually do a mix of pamol or nurofen, spray & bonjela which seems to work Frozen banana is aslo a hit

DS has been a really bad teether. We use a mix of bonjela, pamol and nurofen depending on how bad it is at the time.
He also loves his teething rings from the freezer, a flannel from the freezer or fridge to suck/chew on, cut up apple or carrot from the fridge which he really gnaws into or his mesh bag which we put fruit or veges into. He also loves his dummies straight from the freezer.
I must try the teethmed spray, I've heard it's awesome.

Are you allowed to give Pamol and bonjela at the same time?? DP heard it was either one or the other so that's what we've been doing, she's cut her first 3 teeth in the last 3 weeks! Luckily for her she seems to have a high pain threshold like me and it hasn't bothered her too much she's just been a bit grizzly but the last 3 nights I've been giving her bonjela before bed and it's done the trick.

LilNic - can't see why you can't use Pamol and bonjela together. Neither pack says don't use the other and I'm pretty sure that their active ingredients are different. They have different paths of action too. I have never heard anyone say they are contraindicated together and I'm sure Plunket/GP would make sure they told everyone as Pamol and Bonjela are probably top of most peoples armoury when it comes to teething. I'd be interested to know what the reason was to not use them together though?
Hopefully these darn teeth pop through soon.

DP said apparently they do the same thing so no point! Sorry! I thought he had a valid reason to it but looks like no! 
I hope the teeth pop through for you soon too! Lily started teething around 6 mo but the teeth were going up and down under the gums, she finally cut a tooth at 10 mo and now has got 2 and a 3rd on the way!

Think part of our problem is that J tends to cut a lot of teeth at one time. He cut 6 in 6 weeks between 5.5months and 7 months. So I am expecting a few eruprions from his gums as opposed to just one! Just feel so sorry for him. He can't settle and is just exhausted

I was going to suggest ibuprofen also. It really helps to take down inflammation so really helped out little guy with his teething. Off topic a bit but our boy recently got an outbreak of coldsores and the pain was absolutely horrific. We found that Pamol did absolutely nothing for him but after 5-7 min of getting Ibuprofen he would calm right down. So it is obviously a bit stronger...or at least acts a bit differently.

Yeah I totally find nothing does the job for Annabelle except Nurofen for kids. Though if you can get the Dr to prescribe it, does save a lot of money, as the small size at chemist is $16 and large is $26!
