My daughter normally has a mix of things for breakfast but she always wants to try what we're having and we mostly eat Sultana Bran. If I put a pile down on the table in front of her she picks up every bit one at a time and eats the lot. I know that I shouldn't be giving her high fibre stuff because it interferes with absorption in the gut but does anyone know if Sultana Bran would be too high in fibre for her?

Thanks

I don't think sultana bran is actually that high in fibre. What does it say on the box per serve? How many gms per serve? The pure All Bran ones are about 14 and that would be too much, If she's also having fruit, milk or water at the same time and drinks well all day you'd think it would be ok.

Hmm it's 15% fibre (14.9g/100g). I think I might just make sure if she has it she has it with plenty of other things rather than just a bowl of Sultana Bran. She just seems to love it so much.

some of those adult cereals are quite high in salt too so i would check those levels and maybe only give it to her every second or third day...
