At what age can you think about stopping sterilsing bottles and or using cooled boiled water in formula

I know i will likely always sterlise and stuff but it is handy to know if get in a bind somewhere with no cooled boiled water etc

I think it is 3months according to my plunket book - but maybe double check!

Water depends on where you live (eg if its town supply). We stopped at six months (but I think its younger), we still steralise her bottles, its just habit

I thought it was 6 months for both ??

We have good water so i gave DD tap water from 6 months.

I still sterilize every 2 days though

I only ever sterilised DD's bottles occasionally (EBM). Have been told by several people to not worry too much about it - certainly did her no harm

I went to the plunket 'first foods' talk earlier this month, the nurse taking it said you dont need to sterilise after 3 months (i still do!!) and always to use cool boiled water not tap water - she didnt give a reason why no tap water.

Just an update - my plunket lady said i no longer need to sterilise or use cooled boiled water (although i likely still will out of habit!)
