Ouch Jin, you poor thing. I hope things have improved a bit for you now.
I also heard best not to have an epidural as it increases the risk of more permanent injuries. Good thing I wasn't planning on having one anyway. I'm also planning to birth in the pool, hopefully that will help a bit. I will let you guys know afterwards whether it did.
Last week was a really bad week for me. I couldn't sit, couldn't stand, couldn't lie down. By the end of the day I'd be in tears because of the pain. But then on Saturday night the baby shifted position just slightly (moving from the left towards the middle) and it has made a huge difference! The last few nights I've been able to sleep for 2 or 3 hours at a time (instead of waking up every hour because of the pain). The pain is so much less that I feel I can actually cope for a little while longer. Which is good, cause although I'm due in 4 days, it doesn't look like baby will be here any time soon.
Hang in there girls and hopefully the pain will disappear after birth.
Sammy, do try to take it as easy as possible. I know that can be hard, especially when you are working. But I found the pain is a lot worse on days that I've done too much. Unfortunately, doing the grocery shopping can qualify as too much.
