Just to add one of the mums at my school I'm sure has been labelled a trouble maker cause she gets involved with what is going on with her kids. She went to a parent & teachers meeting last yr & was not happy with something the teacher was doing so asked her about it & the conversation ended up with the teacher saying to her that her daughter was a "plain jane" she walked out crying. She rang the principle the next day & was told to get over it. A couple of days later after she got herself together she & her DH went to the school & had her daughter changed to a different room.

You have every right as a parent to be proactively involved in their school life. Most principles love parents who take and interest and are keen to be involved. I do know (from experience though) that sometimes teachers and most often the office staff do label parents "stroppy" or "trouble" and it does stick, so best to get this sorted now before things get out of hand.
