I brought a great 70s handbag of TM but it is a little more worn then I expected. It is mainly white with coloured patches. Is there something I could use to try and whiten the white patches without ruining the leather? and also whiten up the inside lining?

Maybe for the white patches on the outside try white shoe polish ?

Use leather furniture cleaner. We had a white leather lounge suite which came up fab after using a leather cleanser. Otherwise just sunlight liquid, it depends if it is dirty or if the leather is damaged though I guess.
